In this session you will learn how the UAS information is captured, processed, and cataloged from a GIS perspective. First, Paul Schneider will share how they are using these systems to inspect utility assets, make decisions and keep ground crews informed at Georgia Power. Next, Ron Behrendt and Cody Benkelman will share how their partnership work with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Behron and Associates, the Fort Belknap Fish and Wildlife Department, Idaho State University, Topcon and Esri, recently tested the application of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and high resolution 3D imagery to monitor black-footed ferret habitat on the Fort Belknap Reservation in Montana.
